Ornamental Features: Large, oblong leaves are deep green throughout the season turning a purple in the fall. Clusters of tiny white flowers in late spring mature to bluish-white berries. Stems turn crimson red in the winter providing four season interest and are excellent for cutting.

Landscape Attributes: Multi-stemmed deciduous shrub. Low maintenance; although pruning is not required, removing 20-25% of the oldest stems in early spring of each year, stimulates growth of new stems which display the best color. Deer tolerant and rabbit resistant.
