Description: A dense open tree with white flowers in spring, dark green foliage, and produces dark blue/purple fruit that are excellent for fresh eating and canning. Greater fruit set will be achieved with another plum, but this is a self-pollinating tree that will produce fruit without cross-pollination. The fruit is a European-type freestone plum prune with firm yellow flesh.
Ornamental Features: Clusters of lightly-scented white flowers along with branches in early spring and dark green foliage throughout the season turning yellow in the fall. The medium-sized blue fruit adds an interesting ornamental element in the late summer.
Landscape Attributes: Hardy deciduous tree with a open, upright form. Best pruned in late winter once the threat of extreme cold has passed. Excellent choice for attracting bees to your yard and for the home orchard.
